Charles Dilbeck was one of the most popular and prolific residential architects in Dallas during the mid-twentieth century, designing more than 550 homes over a 35-year period. Dr. Jann Mackey will explore Dilbeck’s best work throughout the city, reflecting his unique approach to Art Deco, Moderne, and Ranch style architecture. Take a virtual tour of Cochran Heights, Kessler Park, and the Park Cities to see how Dilbeck made a recognizable imprint on Dallas neighborhoods. We’ll also compare Dilbeck’s work with the formal and classical designs of his peers like Hal Thomson and Mark Lemmon.
