Damiano Bonuomo, a native of Guastalla, Italy, attended the University of Modena and then moved to Gainesville, Florida to pursue graduate studies in linguistics at the University of Florida. He has studied and taught French as well as Italian. In addition to courses for SMU CAPE, Bonuomo is Lecturer of Italian for SMU's Department of World Languages and Literatures.
Damiano is a die-hard Juventus (and Italy) fan and loves watching soccer, but when it comes to practicing he enjoys training for and competing in triathlons (swimming, bicycling, running). You can catch him swimming at one of the SMU pools, running on the Katy Trail and biking at White Rock Lake. He also has been on swimming, soccer, basketball and volleyball teams in different places throughout his life.
