Meet the leading artists of Renaissance Italy, who lived and worked in thriving cultural centers like Florence and Siena. With patronage from the wealthy and powerful Medici and Montefeltro families, artists such as Donatello and the Lorenzetti brothers created beautiful works of art and architecture that, some might say, remain the pinnacle of artistic achievement in Western history.
